What documents are required to enable me to hire a vehicle?
You will need your driving licence, (In the case of the new Photo licence you must bring both parts) together with two other forms of ID one of which must be dated within the last 3 months and include your current address, eg Utility bill, bank or credit card statement, payment for the hire together with the deposit.
Most overseas driving licences are accepted from non British residents but where possible should be accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP). An IDP can only be used in conjunction with a national licence.
Most licences cover you to drive cars up to 8 seats and up to a 3.5 tonne vans. As we do not have any automatic vehicles you must have a licence to cover manual vehicles.
